Tupelo
Automobile Museum
The Tupelo Automobile
Museum is located in Downtown Tupelo, across the street from the
BancorpSouth Conference Center and the BancorpSouth Arena, right
off Highway 45.
The Tupelo Automobile
Museum features state-of-the-art automobile displays with interactive
speakers detailing the history of each car. Open-viewing restoration
bays, hundreds of antique automotive signs, an old garage replica
and a gift shop are also included in this 120,000 square-foot
facility.
Over 100 restored automobiles,
which were acquired by connoisseur and broadcast executive the
late Frank Spain of Tupelo, are showcased. The collection is valued
at more than $6 million and includes an 1886 Benz, a Tucker, a
Duesenberg, two Hispano Suizas, a Lincoln previously owned by
Elvis Presley, a never-driven 1994 Dodge Viper and other movie
and celebrity vehicles.
